Volt is hiring a Mechanical Engineer for our client in the
Tipton/Muscatine, Iowa area
. This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity!
As a
Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be involved in:
- Research, design, development, building, testing, and inspecting a range of products such as hydraulic systems, parts, and engines geared toward Automotive, specialty vehicles and RV industries.
- Design, develop, and document new products from concept, through engineering release, to production and maintenance reviews.
- Creating mechanical designs for new products.
- · Developing testing processes and performing testing and validation of new designs.
This is a full-time,
Direct Hire opportunity.
Job Requirements- Looking for a flexible, multi-talented design engineer capable of working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment out on the factory floor.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- 10 or more years of experience.
- Previous work experience in the Automotive, RV, or Semi-trailer industry preferred.
- CAD skills a plus.
- BOM experience a plus.
- Hands-on mechanical experience a plus.
- Ability to interact with vendors and customers.
- Ability to work multiple projects at a time.
- Must be able to work both as a team member and independently, be self-motivated, dependable, and possess excellent communication skills.
Salary Range: $80k-$85k
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
