SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in BI tools, data warehousing, and cloud technologies. Your primary responsibilities will include ingesting, extracting, and analyzing complex data sets, creating impactful visualizations, and delivering actionable insights to support strategic business initiatives. As a key team member, you will leverage your expertise to transform raw data into valuable business intelligence, directly influencing our company's strategic direction and operational efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive BI solutions, leveraging Tableau Cloud and AWS Redshift to create interactive dashboards and reports that drive business objectives.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain data models and ETL processes in AWS Redshift, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and high performance of data pipelines.
- Create interactive dashboards and reports to support business objectives
- Mentor team members and promote best practices in data visualization and analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications, implementing best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
- Ensure high performance and reliability of BI solutions by optimizing queries and data structures.
- Continuously refine and expand the BI infrastructure to meet evolving business needs, fostering a data-driven culture across the organization.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and provide guidance to the BI team, including assigning tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring progress to ensure timely and successful project and task delivery.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and supporting professional development.
- Coordinate and oversee the training of team members, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Resolve any team conflicts or issues, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, maintaining high standards of work quality and team accountability.
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Advanced proficiency in Tableau Cloud, including flows, dashboard design and administration
- Strong experience with AWS Redshift, including data modeling and query optimization
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with data warehousing concepts.
- Ability to work with distributed teams to provide technical guidance and leadership.
- Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and scripting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE – B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Data Science or related field, with 5 years of hands-on experience with in business intelligence, data analytics, or a similar role.
LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY- Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Must possess analytical skills and ability to think quickly. Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in business and finance.
OTHER SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
