Key Activities
- Manage the entire implementation lifecycle of restaurant payment systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
- Develop a strategic product vision for the payment system that aligns with the restaurant’s operational objectives and customer experience goals.
- Create and maintain a product roadmap with clear milestones.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather detailed business and operational requirements.
- Prioritize features and functionality based on business impact, creating and managing a dynamic product backlog.
- Develop detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria to ensure the development team builds features that meet both technical and business needs.
- Oversee the configuration and customization of the payment system, ensuring it meets the unique needs of restaurant operations (e.g., integration with POS, currency support).
- Ensure the payment system is compliant with industry regulations such as PCI and supports a range of payment options.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the development team and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of project status, feature updates, and changes.
- Regularly provide updates to key stakeholders on project progress, feature implementation, and prioritization changes.
- Collaborate with vendors to address system challenges and implement necessary updates or improvements.
- Manage integrations with external systems such as loyalty programs, POS, and ERP to ensure seamless functionality.
- Ensure that the payment system operates smoothly, meeting the expected performance metrics and functional requirements.
- Ensure the payment system adheres to industry regulations such as PCI-DSS and local financial and data privacy laws.
- Track performance metrics such as transaction speed, success rates, and downtime, and work to optimize the system's efficiency and user experience.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of payment processing systems, including credit/debit card transactions, mobile payments, contactless payments, and digital wallets.
- Familiarity with Oracle Simphony POS integration and restaurant-specific payment solutions.
- Experience integrating payment systems with Oracle ERP, Oracle Simphony POS, and other related systems (e.g., accounting, loyalty programs, supply chain management).
- Experience integrating with Elavon and Fiserv.
- In-depth understanding of PCI-DSS compliance, as well as data security and privacy regulations related to payment systems.
- Ability to gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into detailed technical specifications and user stories.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring expectations are managed and updates are provided.
- Experience is creating a clear product vision and aligning payment system development with overall business strategy and customer needs.
