Our client, a financial services company in Dallas, is looking for a highly skilled and innovative Sr. Instructional Designer for a 6-month contract. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge digital learning solutions for their enterprise programs. You will bring a creative mindset to learning, leveraging your deep understanding of digital learning techniques, instructional design theory, and learning development tactics to craft engaging and effective learning experiences. The ideal candidate will be passionate about using technology to transform learning and will have a proven track record of delivering impactful digital learning initiatives that drive measurable results.
This is a hybrid position and requires 1-day/week onsite in Dallas, TX.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to analyze learning needs and design tailored digital learning solutions.
- Develop comprehensive instructional design plans that incorporate multimedia elements, interactive modules, and innovative learning technologies.
- Lead the end-to-end development of digital learning programs, including storyboarding, scripting, content creation, and multimedia production.
- Utilize data-driven insights and learning analytics to continuously refine and improve learning experiences.
- Ensure all digital learning solutions are aligned with organizational goals, brand standards, and learning objectives.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends in digital learning, instructional design, and technology to incorporate best practices and cutting-edge innovations into learning programs.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior instructional designers and other team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate on digital learning products, ensuring they meet the needs of diverse learners.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in instructional design with a strong focus on digital learning.
- Expertise in instructional design methodologies, adult learning theory, and digital learning tools.
- A portfolio showcasing prior instructional design work
- Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Captivate, or similar.
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and learning experience platforms (LXP).
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- A creative and innovative mindset with a passion for pushing the boundaries of digital learning.
- Knowledge of multimedia production, including video, audio, and graphic design, is a plus.
- Experience in analyzing learning data and applying insights to improve learning outcomes.
