We are working with a growing engineering firm who is looking for an environmental engineer. You will train and mentor junior technical staff.
Responsibilities
- Work independetnly on environmental designs and permit applications including: Composite Cover Systems, Soil Vapor Mitigation Systems, Dewatering Design & Permitting, State Pollution Discharge Elimination System, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans, Groundwater Treatment Systems, PBS compliance, etc.
- Understand the various local, state, and federal remedial programs including: Designations, Brownfield Cleanup Program, State Superfund Program, Federal Superfund Program, NYCDOB requirements.
- Scope, schedule, budget development, monitoring for projects being managed.
- Proficient in grading plans and stormwater design for sites.
- Proficient in drafting new site plans and updating site plans using AutoCAD.
- Work on SWPPPs and prepare HydroCAD models for sites.
Qualifications-
- Bachelors Degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related discipline
- 4-year Engineering Technology Degree.
- Professional Engineer License (PE)
- 5+ years of experience
