About the Role:
Responsibilities include drafting and filing, discovery and pleadings, etc. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience as a mass tort paralegal dealing with a high volume of cases.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high level, detail focused and proactive litigation support to senior attorneys and other paralegal staff.
- Heavy client contact in a high-volume setting.
- Assist attorneys with obtaining documents and requesting medical records.
- Drafting routine correspondence and maintaining client files.
- Assist with drafting, reviewing, and filing of pleadings for all types of cases including motions, discovery, and settlement documents.
- Assist with the management of eDiscovery, including organization, searches, productions, redactions, and log document dispositions.
- Assist with research, such as rules and procedures, public searches, and compiling information for attorney review.
- Special projects and duties, as assigned.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with clients, lawyers, and outside firm contacts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mass tort paralegal dealing with a high volume of cases.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality.
- Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Must be detail oriented and able to handle high volume work.
- Able to maintain professional relationships through excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask.
