Front-End Developer

12-Month Contract-To-Hire
Pay Rate - $28.00 - $34.00/hr (Depending on Experience)
The Customer IT Digital products team at our energy and utilities client is looking to bring on a Front-End Developer to their team. This team supports a portfolio of digital customer-facing products, such as an outage processing support tool, customer correspondence applications, and the company’s websites. As a Frontend Developer, you will be able to work alongside a team of mid to senior-level developers and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering (or equivalent)
- 0-2 years of development experience - JavaScript, HTML, and CSS experience required (some type of hands-on professional experience is required)
- Knowledge of the SDLC and software methodologies, including object-oriented design
- Knowledge of middleware systems and Oracle databases.
- Experience working in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly.
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Gather business requirements for proposed applications and websites.
- Design application and database components for small-sized development projects
- Maintain and modify existing applications; make approved changes by amending application documentation, developing detailed programming logic, and coding changes.
- Work on the frontend development for customer-facing websites
- Assist in the discovery and investigation of critical production problems as required.
- Work on applications that support software-defined networks for customer products.
