Quality Manager
Location: Houston, Texas

Job Duties
- Actively Lead and champion Quality principles and framework into project execution and delivery.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the Project Quality Strategy is defined, documented, agreed, and implemented.
- Develop and implement an appropriate Project Quality Plan in support of the Project Quality Strategy.
- Collaborate with the Global Projects Quality function to ensure alignment, support and resources are appropriately deployed in support of project delivery and requirements.
- Implement the company Quality Management framework within the project in accordance with specified requirements.
- Monitor deliverable and activity progress to support effective project execution in line with schedule, cost estimates and change management processes.
- Actively set Quality expectations and requirements applicable to bid/tender packages, contracts, and purchase orders, applicable to the associated scope of work and/or supply.
- Actively engage with Contractors and suppliers to ensure a Quality mutual beneficial relationship.
- Identify, review and acceptance of Contractor and Supplier Quality Deliverables.
- Facilitate Project inductions and training in quality systems and processes to new and existing staff.
- Ensure that the Project Quality Documentation is rolled out ins support of project specific requirements.
- Identification, review and approval of Contractor and Supplier Quality Deliverables.
- Ensure Project understanding and implementation of quality systems & processes.
- Ensure that a Project Audit Schedule is in place and ensure that all the requirements of the quality programme and project quality plan are implemented and maintained.
- Plan & conduct Project Quality Audits and reporting in accordance with Project and Business Unit requirements and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Facilitate equipment risk and criticality assessment workshops with key stakeholders and interested parties.
- Develop and implement a risk-based Quality Assessment Plan for the project.
- Identify 2nd party inspection and 3rd party verification services require for equipment packages and or scope. Establish cost estimate, approvals and management of these activities as per the Project Quality Assessment Plan.
- Provide support for Quality within all functions throughout the Project, promoting the importance of Quality for project performance.
- Build & maintain a healthy working relationship with all Project and Business Unit management.
- Develop and enhance relationships with both internal and external client representatives.
- Ensure all client requirements are met or exceeded where applicable.
- Actively participate in communication forums with the client and/or supplier / subcontractor representatives.
- Provide leadership, direction, guidance, and support to assigned work team, resources and contracted services.
- Continually monitor work team, promoting learning and development opportunities in support of current and future project requirements and their own career development opportunities.
- Promote a positive Quality culture and acceptance of the system amongst all Project activity and staff.
- Ensure full compliance with company’s quality, health, safety and environment policies and procedures throughout all aspects of the operations to embed a Zero Harm safety culture.
- Make a positive contribution to the overall strategy and success of the Project.
- Ensure construction quality targets are communicated, well understood and appropriate strategies developed to achieve them.
- Provide regular updates/reports to the Project Manager (or Director) and Quality Manager (Global Projects) on the quality performance and deliverables.
* Activities may be delegated to appropriate competent/qualified Quality resources at the discretion of the Project Quality Manager
Job Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a role of Quality Management
- Experience providing quality management throughout design, procurement, construction, commissioning and start up. i.e. Owner Operator, EPC, EPCM, EPCI
- Experience with risk based Quality assessment.
- Experience working with OEM providers.
- High level written skills with excellent attention to detail.
- High level of passion for renewable energy.
- Proven ability for credible and authentic engagement with strong interpersonal skills.
- University degree in Engineering or significant Quality Management experience in major and/or mega projects
- MBA or master’s degree

Physical requirements:
- Ability to work in changing ambient conditions and an industrial environment both indoors and outdoors.
- Able to work in an industrial setting which includes work while walking, climbing, kneeling, squatting, sitting, and standing across multiple terrains.
- Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements (ex: eye protection, footwear, respiratory protection, and flame-resistant clothing).
- Ability to wear respiratory protection up to and including supplied air apparatus.
- The employee frequently is required to use hands and arms to complete tasks.
