Job Summary: The Food Service Worker is responsible for preparing and serving food to students, faculty, and staff in a university dining facility. This role ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while maintaining high standards of food quality and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of meals, including chopping vegetables, preparing salads, and cooking simple dishes.
- Serving: Serve food to customers in a courteous and efficient manner, ensuring portion control and adherence to dietary guidelines.
- Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, and equipment. Follow all health and safety regulations.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints in a friendly and professional manner.
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control, including receiving and storing food supplies, and reporting shortages or discrepancies.
