Flowtec is actively seeking a Technical Service Manager with a proven track record in the chemical industry.
This position will be responsible for supporting our sales team in maintaining current business relationships and expanding opportunities with new clients.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team. The role involves conducting field visits to customer sites to assist with project execution, provide recommendations, and oversee the implementation of treatment programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee chemical selection, application, and preparation, present technical recommendations to customers, and validate chemical selection.
- Support the region in developing new business and maintaining existing accounts.
- Provide technical support to regional sales and management teams.
- Collaborate with Technical Representatives across the Company and other regions to share best practices and product knowledge.
- Conduct production system surveys and diagnose issues.
- Effectively communicate the benefits and features of company products to operations teams, as well as to potential and existing customers.
- Perform failure analysis and process hazard analysis, providing recommendations for adjustments to chemical programs as needed.
- Coordinate with department heads and leverage the internal network to prepare technical proposals.
- Lead programs as directed by technical management to address industry trends, customer needs, and sales/business initiatives.
- Conduct customer/site visits to support the sales team, strengthen relationships with existing accounts, and attract new customers to drive sales growth.
- Apply knowledge to screen all Innospec product lines for selecting the most suitable applications.
- Enhance and apply understanding of product formulation and troubleshooting.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant chemical, petrochemical, or refining industry experience
- Background in Oilfield Chemical Services
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related STEM major
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from conception to completion.
- Strong skills in identifying problems and implementing effective solutions.
- Proven analytical and organizational capabilities.
