Mid-level Oil, Gas & Resources Associate
Our client, a top Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a 3rd-5th year Associate to join its Oil, Gas & Resources practice. Candidates can be located in any of the firm’s Texas offices, including Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston.
The salary range for this position is between $200,000 - $245,000 (annually) and may vary depending on experience and other factors.
Overview:
As an Associate in the Oil, Gas & Resources practice, the successful candidate will engage in commercial litigation mostly associated with the energy sector. This position will be exposed to a wide variety of complex litigation matters related to the oil and gas industry, including royalty disputes, disputes between working interest owners, and property ownership disputes. This position will work closely with experienced lawyers who will provide active mentoring and opportunities to assume increasing levels of responsibility and client contact.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience (law school class years 2019-2021)
- Strong commercial litigation background, including experience with class and mass actions
- Experience working in energy is desired but not required
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have a J.D. from an accredited law school and possess strong academic credentials
- Must be admitted to or eligible for the Texas Bar
