LOCATION: Watertown, CT

PAY: $80,000-$86,000
HOURS: Monday-Friday, Day Shift

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Manager for a thriving aerospace manufacturing company in Watertown, CT ! In this role, you will be scheduling, planning, and supervising the day-to-day operations of one or more production departments.
- Lead and develop assigned team to ensure On Time Delivery (OTD) while maintaining quality standards
- Assign production responsibilities, work plans, and schedules to ensure timely completion of products
- Coordinate with various departments to meet schedules, budgets, and resolve issues
- Assist in troubleshooting production process problems, minimizing costs and preventing delays
- Enforce quality standards, monitor workmanship, and provide corrective action for issues
- Develops and maintains a safe work environment; ensures that stringent housekeeping, 5S standards and safety procedures and practices are followed; ensures that tools/equipment meet safety requirements; leads trend and root cause analysis and accident investigations
- Execute manufacturing strategy, including Lean Six Sigma initiatives, and promote continuous improvement
- Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, or related/relevant coursework OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years of technically related experience or 2+ years of general supervisory/managerial/leadership experience
- CNC machining experience
- Proficient in computerized database management and presentation systems.
- Support strategic plans to meet cost, productivity, and quality objectives.
- Actively promote a healthy workforce and resource sustainability.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus!
