The Vice President of Manufacturing Operations oversees the overall functioning of two production plants, ensuring that all departments—from receiving and staging to production, shipping, and maintenance—operate efficiently. This leadership role involves managing daily operations, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and ensuring that all products meet quality standards. The Director will work closely with various teams and departments, including purchasing, quality assurance, IT, and sales, to ensure smooth collaboration and alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plant Operations Management: Supervise and manage the full range of operations across multiple manufacturing plants, ensuring all processes from production to shipping are efficient and compliant with industry standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and support plant managers, ensuring their teams are well-trained, motivated, and effective in meeting production goals.
- Resource Management: Ensure each plant is equipped with the necessary resources, equipment, and personnel to meet production targets and key performance indicators.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of receiving, staging, production, shipping, and maintenance across multiple facilities, ensuring smooth workflows and adherence to quality standards.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations, including those set by federal and state authorities, as well as safety standards.
- Manage and support plant managers, offering guidance and development to improve team performance.
- Monitor production schedules, labor, and budget to control costs while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Drive innovation in workflow processes, finding ways to reduce costs and enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure continuous financial improvement and operational success.
- Oversee the development of new processes, policies, and procedures to align with evolving industry standards and customer needs.
- Evaluate employee performance regularly to ensure high levels of engagement and productivity.
- Ensure comprehensive training programs for new hires, as well as ongoing training for existing staff, particularly regarding standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Host client visits to foster positive relationships and promote business partnerships.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector.
- Strong track record of operational and financial success in a production setting.
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality assurance practices.
