As the Director of Supply Chain, you will lead and manage the organization’s supply chain strategy, overseeing purchasing, inventory control, production planning, logistics, and shipping & receiving. You will be responsible for achieving supply chain goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to ensure smooth operations and meet KPIs.
- Lead daily operations of the supply chain team, ensuring timely task execution.
- Negotiate optimal contracts with suppliers, focusing on cost savings and value.
- Manage supplier relationships, performance metrics, and quality control.
- Optimize warehousing, shipping, and receiving processes to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Oversee production planning to efficiently meet customer demand.
- Manage inventory levels to minimize risk and maximize turnover.
- Coordinate with product design teams for effective product sourcing.
- Implement IT infrastructure to support supply chain operations.
- Hire, train, and develop supply chain staff, fostering a high-performing team.
- Monitor departmental KPIs and inform key stakeholders for decision-making.
- Benchmark and apply best practices from other supply chain operations.
Required Skills:
- Deep understanding of supply chain, inventory management, production planning, and global logistics.
- Familiarity with electronic manufacturing, materials, and processes.
- Proven leadership with a strong focus on results and meeting targets.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel (up to 10%).
- Proficiency in ERP, MES, WMS, and integrated business applications.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience leading and mentoring teams.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5-8 years of manufacturing supply chain experience, with at least 3 years in management.
- Direct ERP experience required; Lean and Six Sigma experience preferred.
