We are a nationwide Construction Management Firm who works in the Public and Private sector. We manage the construction for our clients who include Private Developers, VA System, Institutional Facilities, Government Agencies, among others.
We are seeking a motivated Construction Project Manager who will be working on a ground-up mixed-use high-rise development as well as the renovation of a multi-family high-rise development in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. The Project Manager will need to be an experienced on-site leader in ground-up developments.
These are DIRECT HIRE position supporting a very long term program!
Job Function:
- The Project Manager (PM) will work with the Sr. Project Manager to provide leadership to the Development Team for all work associated with the Residential Apartment Floor Levels, and Ground Floor Residential areas and, they will recommend improvements to any ongoing changes, construction techniques, schedules, and construction economies for the project.
- The PM will work with the Sr. Project Manager and the Development Team and provide input and feedback for the Residential portion of the projects, monitor the General Contractor’s performance regarding contractual responsibilities, and provide observations and recommendations to the Sr. Project Manager, the Project Executive Team, monitor payment to contractors, changes, claims and inspection for conformance to design requirements.
- The PM provides current cost and progress information as the work proceeds.
- Most importantly, the PM will lead the efforts in the acceptance from the General Contractor and the delivery to Ownership.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture from an accredited University.
- Experience: 8-14 years of construction management experience including high-rise and mixed-use projects.
- Experience in core buildouts with a focus on the foundations, structure, building envelope, and civil aspects.
- Construction Contract Documents including Front End and Technical Specifications and Drawings to readily understand and assess the requirements.
- Working knowledge of engineering services, building codes, budgeting, and scheduling to lead to the project’s success.
- Leadership: Must possess the skillset and competency to supervise and manage personnel of diverse skillsets as well as follow the lead of the Senior Project Manager.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with developer-led projects
- Experience in hospitality, luxury apartments, luxury clubs, etc.
- PE, RA/AIA, CCM, PMP certifications
