Funlab is a location-based entertainment company – recently landed in the USA and taking it by storm! With brands including Holey Moley Golf Club, Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq and Hijinx Hotel we are excited to have launched our first locations in Denver, San Francisco, Austin and Houston in 2023 with continued growth into 2024 and beyond!

As pioneers in the location-based entertainment industry, Funlab has 22 years of experience providing memorable experiences for our guests across our 42 locations in Australia and New Zealand. We call ourselves Motherfunners and this role offers a unique opportunity to join our US team as we establish our US operations and get ready to bring the fun stateside.
With four locations secured across the southwestern United States, Funlab is on the lookout for a passionate, professional and fun General Manager for our Holey Moley Golf Club venue in Santa Monica, CA.
📍Located on the Third Street Promenade, Santa Monica will boast a 27-hole mini golf concept, private function spaces across multiple levels, multiple bars and an outdoor dining area.

What You'll Do
- Be a hands-on, guest obsessed leader, motivating and driving your team to provide memorable guest experiences;
- Drive revenues by running outstanding shifts and going above and beyond for our guests;
- Create WOW spaces where you and the team can take FUN to the next level!
- Support and inspire an energetic team of hospitality superstars;
- Manage Front of House & Back of House operations, including but not limited to rosters, training, P&L management, forecasting, casual recruitment, COGs, and labour - keep that brain ticking!
- Continue to build an amazing, collaborative, and inclusive culture;
- Mentor, develop and upskill your team members;
- Learn the ropes of managing all aspects of a busy, multi-faceted entertainment venue... and we mean ALL aspects!
What You've Got
- Energy, enthusiasm, positivity - and bucketloads of it!
- Proven hands-on management experience (minimum 2-3 years) in charge of a busy hospitality/entertainment venue
- An ability to work nights and weekends. After all, that's where the action's at...!
- Experience hosting small-large scale events and executing the guest experience at the highest level
- Proven experience working autonomously and remotely where needed and be self-motivated
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasked environment
- An obsession with providing the best guest experiences
- Proven experience in all areas of a hospitality venue (bar, kitchen, functions etc)
- Strong time management skills and high level of experience in administrative tasks - being able to balance these with being a hands-on front of house manager
- A burning desire to show what you've got and what heights you can take the business!
