We are searching for a Senior BI Analyst / ETL Developer for our Stamford, CT-based telecommunications client. This position combines business intelligence and ETL development skills, responsible for supporting multiple internal customers by providing reporting, key requirement gathering, data analysis, and actionable recommendations. The role also supports the Manager and Director of Business Intelligence in empowering business leaders with reliable, high-quality information that drives business opportunities and efficiencies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading from multiple sources into BI systems.
- Write complex SQL queries, join tables, and perform data analysis to extract meaningful insights for stakeholders.
- Create detailed BI reports and dashboards using tools like Tableau and Excel, providing actionable insights.
- Collaborate with internal business customers to gather requirements, understand data needs, and present findings.
- Communicate data insights and recommendations clearly to senior leadership and VPs.
- Lead full development lifecycle projects, from requirements gathering to the delivery of final data solutions.
- Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the reporting and ETL processes.
- Implement automation and optimization solutions to enhance ETL pipeline efficiency.
- Assist with ad-hoc data needs and queries from internal customers.
- Liaise between business, development, and support teams to ensure technical solutions meet business requirements.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Advanced SQL skills and experience working with queries and data sets.
- Expertise in designing and developing ETL processes and workflows.
- Experience in data integration from multiple sources into BI tools.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently, with strong organizational skills.
- Familiarity with BI reporting tools (MicroStrategy (ideal), Tableau, Excel, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills and critical thinking, with a focus on using data to solve business problems.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Dashboarding experience.
- Experience with automation of ETL processes.
- Basic coding skills to support custom data solutions.
- Familiarity with telecommunications or media industries.
