We are seeking a skilled Network Monitoring Engineer with expertise in SolarWinds, Splunk, and Datadog. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and troubleshooting network and system performance issues using these tools. The role involves developing and implementing effective monitoring strategies to ensure the reliability and availability of our systems.
Length: 6 months (high likelihood of extension)
Location: must be local to Vancouver, BC or Seattle

Role & Responsibilities
- Monitor network and system performance using SolarWinds tools.
- Analyze performance issues and network bottlenecks, providing solutions to enhance system efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize network performance and system reliability.
- Utilize Splunk tools to monitor and analyze network and system performance.
- Address performance issues and resolve network bottlenecks.
- Develop and implement monitoring strategies to ensure system reliability and availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Splunk tools and infrastructure.
- Provide support for network and system issues detected by Splunk.
- Monitor network and system performance using Datadog tools.
- Analyze and address performance issues and network bottlenecks.
- Develop and implement strategies for monitoring to ensure system reliability and availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Datadog tools and infrastructure.
- Provide support for network and system issues identified by Datadog.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience as a network engineer.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience with network monitoring tools, specifically SolarWinds, Splunk, and Datadog.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve performance issues and network bottlenecks.
- Experience in developing and implementing effective monitoring strategies.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to network monitoring tools and related infrastructure.
Desired Qualifications
- Network certification such as Cisco CCNA
