A top Houston-based energy trading company is looking for a python developer to join their growing US Technology team on a full-time basis. This candidate will be developing and maintaining software solutions that support the firm's trading and risk management systems.
What you will do:
- Develop, implement, and maintain software solutions for front, middle, and back-office ETRM needs.
- Extend and support technical aspects of Beacon ETRM subsystems, including invoicing, real-time risk monitoring, and inventory management.
- Manage and enhance interfaces with third-party systems, ensuring seamless integration and data accuracy.
- Ensure correct representation of on-exchange and OTC positions in trading systems, in compliance with regulatory provisions.
What you bring & who you are:
- University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with top grades.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Python and other modern OOP languages; knowledge of ETRM/CTRM systems.
- Understanding of US energy markets, specifically in power and natural gas businesses.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to solve complex problems and propose innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between Traders, Quants, and Tech teams.
$100-170k base + bonus
