Our client is hiring and looking for a stellar candidate to consider for their Engineering Technician role.
- This will be a 12 month contract with a potential to convert if deemed to be a right fit towards the end of your contract.
- This job has the flexibility of being WFH 2 days out of the week but due to the nature of the business candidates may be required to be onsite more.
- Candidate may have to drive to another local office once a week that is 10-15 minutes away
- Candidate must be strong in ESD Lab
- Looking for someone with 4-7 years of experience but would consider a candidate outside or below that range depending on the amount of relevant experience.
- 1 month ramp up training period.
- Candidate would have product come in, run the test, collect the data, record the date, and then report and share with the senior engineer onsite.
- This technician role is for an EMC Lab (electromanetic compatiability) with the primary task being ESD testing for SSD products. Other duties may include EMI and Immunity testing, depending on the candidates skill set and experience.
- An engineering technician's primary task is assisting engineers. This includes executing test procedures, diagnostics, generating test reports, and lab maintenance.
- As most engineering jobs are team-oriented, good communications skills and teamwork are a necessity. An engineering technician must possess strong analytical skills and have an eye for detail, as well as be able to act decisively and independently when circumstances warrant it.
- Must have familiarity and experience with ESD testing per IEC-61000-4-2.
- Top candiates will also have familiarity and experience with:
- - EMI Testing per CISPR32 and FCC Class-B.
- - EMC equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, amplifiers, antennas, line filters, anechoic chambers, and GTEM cells.
- - Basic soldering and PCBA re-work.
