Job Title: Graphics Coordinator

Job Responsibilities & Performance Standards:
- Customer Coordination & Liaison:
- Coordinate with customers and Regional Account Managers regarding design, graphics, and color issues.
- Manage artwork, design changes, and stringent controls on color and ink to meet customer needs.
- Process new designs and ideas while optimizing costs and production efficiency.
- Ensure accurate communication and coordination between customers, suppliers, and internal teams regarding layouts, designs, color printing sequences, and specs.
- Maintain excellent communication and uphold high ethical standards when interacting with customers.
- Quality Control & Product Improvement:
- Design and order cylinders required for production, ensuring cost-effective use of existing designs.
- Secure relevant information to determine the need for new versus old cylinders.
- Ensure high-quality equipment is procured to meet production demands and tooling needs are met with minimal downtime.
- Maximize Productivity & Cost Efficiency:
- Utilize advanced technologies to improve graphic functions.
- Collaborate with production teams to address printing issues related to cylinder and tool usage, ensuring compliance with customer graphic requests.
- Conduct tests to ensure accurate color matching and design flow.
- Documentation & Confidentiality:
- Document all graphic functions and maintain full records of tests, designs, and materials to ensure customer confidence.
- Keep confidential all graphics-related information, including files, documents, samples, and conversations.
- Cost Control:
- Manage the costs of equipment, tooling, and cylinders by negotiating with suppliers to ensure high-quality equipment at competitive prices.
- Approve invoices related to graphic production processes and ensure proper documentation.
- Stay Current on Industry Trends:
- Participate in continuing education programs and apply relevant trends and developments to improve department procedures.
- Health, Safety, and Quality:
- Actively support OHSE and quality obligations, implementing policies in daily activities.
- Other Duties:
- Assist with additional assignments and tasks as requested by management.
Must have:
- Manufacturing Experience.
- Print Experience (gravure or offset pre-press printing preferred).
- Dependability and strong interpersonal skills to work within a team environment.
- Technical Degree in Graphic Design or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in gravure and/or offset pre-press printing.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Gravure or Offset Printing Press Experience.
- Strong proficiency in PC and Mac software, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit, stoop, stand, reach, balance, climb, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 40 lbs occasionally. Ability to adjust focus, use close vision, and hear and speak effectively.
