- Job Title: Lead Deburring
- Payrate: up to $23 an hour
- Full Time: Permanent (Direct Hire)
- Hours: M-F 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
Job Summary:
The Deburr Level 3: LEAD is a key role requiring exceptional attention to detail and mechanical aptitude. The successful candidate will be responsible for deburring parts to meet blueprint specifications and customer requirements, operating and adjusting machines, and maintaining quality and production standards.
Responsibilities:
- Deburr sharp edges of parts according to blueprint specifications and customer requirements.
- Use hand tools, deburring tools, and files to complete deburring tasks.
- Work from work orders, samples, drawings, and both written and verbal instructions.
- Consistently monitor product quality to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Identify parts for inspection as needed, contributing to the overall quality control process.
- Update travelers and input job data as required.
- Maintain workplace cleanliness and safety to ensure a safe working environment.
- Utilize measuring equipment, such as calipers and micrometers.
- Select and use appropriate equipment based on the type and amount of deburring required.
- Lead and manage a team, setting goals and providing support.
- Train team members in the proper use of necessary equipment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs when needed.
- Ability to push up to 50 lbs when required.
- Load and unload materials weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Walk approximately 10% of the time.
- Remain stationed about 85% of the time.
- Kneel, squat, bend, and twist as needed (5% of the time).
Skills:
- Strong mathematical knowledge.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common instructions.
- Detail-oriented with proficiency in using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers).

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Understanding of production and manufacturing processes.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Willingness to work late hours, early shifts, weekends, and overtime if necessary.
- Team player with a background in deburring (5 years of experience preferred).
- Experience in leading a team or equivalent training.
- Knowledge of 5S, Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent training.
