Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Oversee daily operations of food service departments, ensuring efficient workflows, adherence to company standards, and compliance with menu plans. Analyze sales data to identify trends, enhance menu offerings, and ensure consistent recipe execution.
- Financial Management: Develop and manage departmental budgets, monitor food costs, labor expenses, and overall expenses. Conduct financial analyses and reporting.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing team. Foster a positive work environment, conduct performance reviews, and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service, resolve complaints, and identify customer needs to drive sales and loyalty.
- Food Safety and Quality: Adhere to food safety regulations, implement HACCP procedures, conduct food safety training, and ensure product quality and freshness.
- Menu Labeling Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant menu labeling regulations and guidelines.
- Merchandising: Oversee product presentation and placement, monitor inventory levels, and implement promotional strategies to boost sales.
- Equipment Maintenance: Manage the maintenance and repair of food service equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Technology Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency with food service technology systems, such as those used in the Chef Tech Program.
- Regular travel to multiple store locations within Fairfield County is required
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in retail food service management, particularly within a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive culinary knowledge and hands-on experience in food preparation, recipe development, and menu planning.
- Demonstrated success in driving sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction in a retail food service setting.
- ServSafe certification or an equivalent food safety certification is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant software for data analysis, reporting, and inventory management.
- Excellent merchandising skills with a track record of creating visually appealing, customer-focused food displays.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with extended hours, including weekends and holidays.
