The role is responsible for assisting assigned Carrier Sales Representatives with their day-to-day operations, specifically on specialized high-risk commodities.
This is an on-site position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 7 am to 4 pm. Hourly rate is $19.24/hr.
What does a typical day look like?
- Organizing and tracking booked loads for carrier reps
- Providing timely updates on critical shipments
- Communicating late deliveries and issue resolution when necessary
- Issuing EFS checks and other customer service-related items
- Posting loads to web services and internal platforms when needed
- Negotiating rates and booking loads if necessary
- Calling carrier partners to help track down POD’s, invoices, and other supporting documents.
- Updating files in Highway when needed
What are we seeking?
- College degree preferred, but not required.
- Logistics experience preferred but not required.
- Exposure to carrier sales process
- Strong phone and written communication skills
- Organized and assertive
- Ability to identify and react to potential issues with confidence and composure.
- Capacity to multi-task
- 6+ months experience in customer support/operations
