Summary Description
Member of the BCM team to support the Global BC program, reporting to the Americas Head of BC.
Business Impact Analysis (“BIA”)
Desired Skill set –
- Adequate knowledge and experience in implementing business impact analysis (BIA) including understanding of terminologies and methodology.
- Initiate review, update and harmonization of the BIA, opportunity to work with BC Team members across the regions
- Maintain recovery requirements and business impacts of a business disruption
- Offer feedback and recommendations on challenges to the effective implementation of the BIA
Minimum viable operations (MVO)
Desired Skill set –
- Adequate knowledge on the concepts of minimum viable operation and preferably adequate understanding of investment banking products and services.
- Support this global initiative/program and provide recommendations on how to tie the initiative back to the Global BC program. There will be overlap opportunities with implementing operational resilience related regulations in the U.S. or internationally.
- Periodic review, testing and update of the MVO procedures with the business.
Business Continuity (BC)
Desired Skill set –
- Use of Fusion Software for planning, continued maturity and enrichment of contents and input
- Assist in coordinating the annual BCP review or when there is any material change and QA the process prior to BU sign-off.
- Assist in the management of all aspects of the BC program, including monitoring of BC key indicators, management of recovery technologies such as Cap Markets BC machines, and other remote technologies
Testing of Business Continuity program
Desired Skill set –
- Assist in administering BC testing in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements and documenting the results and correcting gaps.
- Ability to effectively plan, coordinate and administer/implement different type of business continuity testing (e.g., tabletop, simulated or capability testing) that efficiently make use of the BU participants’ time and are relevant to improve the firm’s business continuity and resilience posture.
- Ability to make justifiable recommendations to improve business continuity testing regimen for the firm with the vision to improve resilience during an actual disruption.
- Ability to incorporate other aspects of recovery such as risks on technology, third party services etc, in testing to validate effectiveness of business continuity strategies and arrangements.
Incident Monitoring and Travel Risk
Desired Skill set –
- Support in monitoring news & alerts for incidents that may affect our client's offices and travellers and escalate the issue as necessary
- Has adequate experience in using tools for mass notification, risk intelligence and traveller tracking.
- On-call and available (24x7) during ongoing incidents that could significantly disrupt business operations, and coordinate in real time with members of the BC Team and impacted business units.
Familiar with Global BC regulation requirements
- Review the global database in Fusion to ensure the Firm remains within compliance
Ensure that Business Continuity Plans in the region incorporate any changes to the business operations and recovery requirements

- Understanding and awareness of regulatory requirements, best practices, internal policies and procedures
Operational Resilience
- Awareness/familiarity in the upcoming CFTC Operational Resilience Framework and other U.S. regulations.
- Experience in supporting the implementation of other resilience framework such as BS65000, FCA (UK) ORF and BaFIN DORA etc.
Education and Awareness
- Support the AVP, BC Specialist in coordinating testing, education and awareness and increasing firm wide BC awareness
Incident & Crisis Management
- Participation of business impacting events, Communications, 24/7 availability
Call Notifications Tests
- Assist in administering the semi-annual emergency notification system testing
Audits
- Assist in responding to audit queries, both from a BC perspective and coordinating responses from individual BUs
Facilities
- Back up to the AVP, BC Specialist in preparing quarterly UPS/Gen Set Report for updating.
Availability
- Being contactable 24/7 globally on point to manage unexpected business impacting events
Monitoring of environmental impacts across the globe and multiple potential impacts on our static assets.
Assists the AVP, BC Specialist in data analysis and preparing reports particularly on testing and training as well as review of BC-related documentation. Perform other administrative duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
