Job Summary:
The RN Educator/Nurse Instructor is responsible for overseeing and managing all training relevant to CCOR’s field staff.
This is a Part Time position - Monday through Wednesday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Help develop new curriculum relevant to CCOR's field staff.
- Review current curriculum and revise as needed.
- Communicate any recommended changes to curriculum or policies and procedures to Education Manager for approval.
- Instruction of all training relevant for field staff.
- Management of monthly Training Calendars including: scheduling all training, cancelling/adding classes, and communicating any new and/or revised calendars to all departments.
- Ensure that all trainees complete all required training documents.
- Audit all training documents prior to submitting to HR Department or being stored in Education files.
- Adhere to all timeframes and policies and procedures when submitting training documents.
- Ensure that all completed training documents are submitted to the correct department or individual.
- Understand and have knowledge of all NYS PCATP and HHATP guidelines, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure the security of all testing materials.
- Enter information into HCR within required timeframes.
- Perform any other duties as required.
Responsible To:
Pay: $35 to $39 per hour
Position Requirements:
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and a current RN certificate.
- Preferred experience in working with NYSDOH programs and understanding and knowledge of PCA and HHA training programs.
- Preferred two (2) years experience in home health care.
- Excellent presentation skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively in a large group setting.
- Preferred experience in preparing Power Point presentations.
- Ability to research and develop new/relevant home care topics.
- Ability to make decisions with limited support.
- Ability to manage staff in a positive and constructive way.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and to sit, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, pull, climb, reach, and perform repetitive movements of the upper extremities.
- Pass a physical examination and immunization requirements after being offered employment and complete a health assessment annually, thereafter, including being fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and to have received any booster or supplemental dose as recommended by the CDC, absent receipt of a medical exemption.
- Possess a current, valid New York State driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
- Completion of CCOR's orientation program.
