Quality Manager
Location: Stone Mountain, GA
Salary: $110k-$115k + 10% bonus
Schedule: Monday- Friday (fully on-site)
Travel: 25% to other facilities (1 week out of the month for a couple of days. )
About the Role:
Are you a proactive leader with a passion for quality and compliance? Join our team as the Quality Manager, where you will spearhead Quality and Product Compliance initiatives across our organization. In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring the production of high-quality products that meet customer needs and regulatory requirements, while adhering to our client's Mission Statement, Safety & Quality Policy.
What you get to do:
- Develop and direct all Quality and Compliance-related programs across the organization.
- Manage the company’s food code compliance program by developing policies, procedures, and assisting plants with program adherence, audit preparation, and corrective actions.
- Establish Quality performance goals, communicate Quality metrics, assess trends, and take appropriate actions to improve quality.
- Initiate and lead Quality improvement projects and activities across multiple manufacturing sites in the US.
- Maintain and manage Corporate Quality System documentation and assist with site-specific documentation.
- Oversee the Customer Complaint process, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented.
- Address Food Safety, Quality, and Process Control issues using Root Cause Analyses and Corrective and Preventative Action tools.
- Promote a data-driven approach to solving process and quality-related problems.
- Collaborate with Product Teams to understand customer requirements and improve customer satisfaction.
- Work with the Supply Chain Team on Supplier Qualifications, Supplier Audits, and new product launches.
- Mentor and train Site Quality Managers, driving plant accountability and preparing for SQF Audits.
- Provide technical leadership for plant Quality Labs, ensuring all quality testing equipment is calibrated and testing methods are adhered to.
- Play a key role in Product Innovation Teams, developing product quality qualification paths and quality control plans.
- Stay informed of new developments and trends through membership in applicable quality or environmental associations.
- Prepare legal notices, postings, and reports as required by government and regulatory bodies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
What you need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Engineering, Science, or a technical field.
- Quality-related certifications (e.g., from the American Society for Quality - ASQ) are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience leading quality teams in a production environment; experience with packaging products is a plus.
- Proven track record of building and leading highly effective cross-functional teams.
- Proficient with Minitab or other statistical analysis tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
