A large private school located in the North Miami/Aventura area has an immediate need for an experienced and knowledgeable full-time Director of Information Technology who will be responsible for ensuring that the technology infrastructure and systems effectively support our innovative academic program and the School’s daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Chief Operations officer, the Director will collaborate with the leadership team, faculty and staff to further develop and manage the technology roadmap for short and long term improvements to the school’s technology plan
- Incorporate innovative technologies that support teaching, learning and administrative operations.
- The Director will possess in-depth technical expertise and provide strategic leadership, planning, and management to all areas of information technology and work collaboratively with academic leadership to develop effective strategies for integrating technology into the curriculum.
Qualifications
- Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the management, development, installation, and maintenance of information systems and IT Support teams
- Bachelor's degree or higher with a concentration in the fields of Information Technology/ Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field/experience.
- Strong project management as well as security systems, and network certification preferred.
- Proficiency in Blackbaud, Microsoft Office, Apple, Google apps for Education and Windows Servers, Fortinet & Cisco Networking environments, current network/server technologies, data backup strategies, and security issues are extremely important.
- Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication as well as customer service skills.
- Ability to supervise people and manage projects and programs; forecast and manage complex budgets and become a contributing member of a dynamic and forward-thinking learning environment are all required.
- Experience managing technology systems in a school environment a plus.
