POSITION SUMMARY:
Duravant is seeking a highly motivated Cloud Engineer to join our infrastructure team and lead our efforts to migrate to cloud offerings. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless migration of our on-premise resources to Microsoft Azure and managing our M365 environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure offerings and a strong understanding of its various services and features and have experience in previous migrations.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Azure Migration: Lead and assist in the migration of on-premise services and resources to Microsoft Azure, ensuring that the transition is smooth, secure, and aligned with business goals. This includes the assessment of current infrastructure, planning, execution, and post-migration support.
- M365 Management: Take ownership of the Microsoft 365 environment, which includes managing and optimizing Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive services. Provide ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and support for M365-related issues.
- Microsoft Entra ID Management: Oversee the administration of Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory), ensuring secure and efficient integration with on-premise systems and third-party applications. Assist in managing identities, roles, and access controls to enhance security and compliance.
- Third-Party Integrations: Support the integration of third-party applications with Microsoft 365 and Azure services (Single Sign On), ensuring compatibility and security across the cloud environment. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to optimize these integrations.
- Cloud Technology Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding and implementation of new cloud technologies, ensuring that they are deployed effectively and in line with company objectives. Provide guidance and support to teams adopting new cloud services and tools.
- Issue Resolution: Respond to and resolve cloud-related issues promptly, including those arising from migrations or ongoing operations. Ensure that all cloud services are running smoothly and that any disruptions are minimized.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, processes, and procedures. Ensure that all activities comply with relevant security standards and best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, Security, and Networking, to ensure integrated and secure cloud operations. Participate in cloud strategy discussions and contribute to the continuous improvement of cloud practices.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Computer Science, similar field, or equivalent work history
- 3+ years of experience in cloud administration or engineering, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Proven experience in migrating on-premise resources to the cloud.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, including Azure AD, VMs, networking, security features, and Entra ID.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good communication, collaboration, and planning capability
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, or equivalent.
- Experience with: Hybrid cloud environments, additional cloud platforms (e.g., AWS)
