firstPRO is seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our client’s team, working across two locations in Bala Cynwyd and Broomall. In this role, you will handle a range of IT support tasks, ensuring smooth technical operations and assisting both onsite and remote employees.
This role is a contract to hire opportunity and sits 100% onsite with time split between their Bala Cynwyd and Broomall locations.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage and resolve 15-20 IT support tickets per day, maintaining a high level of service and quick response times.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot basic network issues, including VPN connectivity, to minimize downtime for users.
- Configure, monitor, and maintain public IP address settings to ensure network stability and access.
- Provide comprehensive printer support, specializing in break/fix tasks for Zebra printers.
- Oversee the onboarding and offboarding process, including the setup and deployment of new PCs and hardware.
- Deliver remote technical assistance, guiding users through troubleshooting steps with clear communication.
- Act as the onsite IT support expert, addressing all local technical challenges and ensuring seamless operations.
- Coordinate with the offshore service desk, escalating complex issues when necessary to ensure resolution.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in IT support or a related technical role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong focus on Teams for collaboration and support.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory management, including user and group management.
- Expertise in diagnosing and resolving network issues, with strong knowledge of VPN troubleshooting.
- Proven experience in supporting and repairing Zebra printers.
- Familiarity with public IP address management and configuration.
- Exceptional communication skills, particularly in supporting remote users and explaining technical solutions.
- Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
