Field Technician IV – On Wing Services
Salary range : 70,000 - 74,588k/year
Location: New Jersey / New York Area (should be fine with travel)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a field technician to join our team. As a field technician, you will join our team of technicians, based within a 120 minute drive from the Teterboro, NJ airport or the Bradley airport in Winsor Locks, CT area, supporting aviation customers and aircraft manufactures. In this role you will provide maintenance, repair, and inspections on aircraft engines both domestically and internationally. In this role, you will need to be able to pass a required eye exam, to lift engine components weighing up to approximately 50 pounds, and travel domestically and/or internationally up to 100%.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to travel to locations within the US and around the world to maintain and repair aircrafts. As part of this role, you must be able to work occasional evening shifts and required overtime as needed.
Key Accountabilities:
- Comply with work scope instructions as directed by our Maintenance Operations Control
- Competently disassemble, clean, re-assemble and repair engines and modules
- Use troubleshooting logic to identify defects in component or parts
- Access and use engine data materials such as AMM, EMM, IPC, etc.
- Understand, interpret and apply Service Bulletins, FAA Advisory Directives and Technical Variances when applicable
- Must be able to obtain and maintain repair station inspection approval
Basic Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) with 4+ years of aircraft maintenance, repair, and/or overhaul experience, OR
- Associate degree with 3+ years of aircraft maintenance, repair, and/or overhaul experience
- FAA Airframe & Power Plant License
- This position is a FAA designated safety-sensitive position. Selected candidate must successfully complete a FAA/DOT pre-employment background check, a FAA/DOT drug screen that tests for the presence of Marijuana, Cocaine, Opiates, Phencyclidine and Amphetamines (or metabolites of those drugs) and comply with FAA-mandated rules on drug and alcohol use.

Preferred Requirements:
- Prior Gas turbine engine experience
- Prior customer relations experience
- Engine or Aircraft logbook familiarity
- Prior FAR145 repair station experience
- Ability to act in a lead capacity as directed by our Maintenance Operations control.
- Understanding of basic to intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel functionality
