The Manufactring/Research Associate at Cellay will be a key contributor in a cross-functional environment. This position will perform a variety of complex tasks under general guidance and in accordance with current GMP's. They will play a role in cell culture and OligoFISH manufacturing as well as many other various tasks. The candidate will work closely with senior management, Quality and technical support in order to keep regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate for this position has cell culture experience.
Job responsibilities:
- Follow accurate oral & written procedures in operating essential equipment & performing processing steps.
- Understand principles behind mfg. processes and exhibit expertise in specific techniques & operations.
- Demonstrates understanding of GMPs & how they apply to specific responsibilities.
- Work with other scientist on the development of novel FISH probe technology and labeling methods.
- Train junior staff on the manufacturing process and well as research based projects.
- Generate working reagents and buffers
- Perform experiments under the supervision of a senior staff member.
- Operate basic lab equipment
- Keep accurate records of all activities
- Maintain inventory of all lab supplies and reagents
- Assist technical support, shipping and material handling when necessary
- Assist in cell culture and slide preparation.
Minimum education/job experience:
- Bachelor Degree required with 0-2 years’ experience in a scientific field.
- Basic laboratory knowledge
- Knowledge working under a cGMP environment desirable but not required
Minimum job skills/qualifications
- The candidate should be self-motivated, reliable, accountable and conscientious in meeting timelines
- Strong communication skills
- Must be a hands-on individual, willing and able to do routine detail work
- Knowledge of basic lab safety requirements
- Proficient at the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
