One of our clients is looking to add a skilled Change Manager to their Strategy and Transformation group. In this role, you will leverage your background in Change Management, as well as your Process Improvement skills, to drive lasting change within the organization. You will support initiatives of various sizes that touch cross-functional teams.
Length: 12-mo contract

Role & Responsibilities
- Change Manager supporting one or more projects; this is an active 'doer' role
- May be dedicated to a large project full-time, or support a small number of related projects, or be engaged in activities such as assessments that lead into change management work
- Perform assessments, including pulling together disparate pieces of a project into a cohesive process and change approach
- Perform basic process work such as leading process evaluations and workshops, creating current and future state process maps, and guiding the team to make process decisions
- Follow the Alaska change management methodology and produce standard change management deliverables such as change-related assessments, plans, and report-outs, design multiple ways to engage with audiences, and ensure solid feedback loops and metrics to gauge efficacy
- Create communication and/or learning materials of moderate complexity for internal use
- Work in partnership with project manager, sponsor, business owners, subject matter experts, project team members, and external vendors
- Collaborate closely with internal Communications, Guest Experience, Policy & Procedure, and Training teams
- Will regularly keep leadership, sponsors, and PMs apprised of progress, roadblocks, help needed, etc.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience leading change in a full-time role as a Change Manager
- Excellent demonstrated skills in all facets of change management including assessment, planning, design, execution, sustainment, and nurturing influencers to lead change within their organizations
- Strong demonstrated skills in process identification and documentation
- Strong skills in delivering learning via in-person and virtual formats
- Advanced skills in absorbing new information and specialized jargon, and identifying connections between disconnected elements
- Able to use client’s change management framework and standards, while also using sound judgment to meet the needs of the project
- Able to balance competing priorities and help the team to do the same
- Able to build strong relationships and partner to get work done
- Able to work successfully with people at all levels of the company and work on a team with union-represented employees, non-union employees, other contractors, and outside vendors
- Comfortable with ambiguity, and able to proactively lead themselves and the team to concrete decisions and actions
- Able to create change management- and/or process-related materials of moderate complexity with professional polish suitable for internal use, utilizing PowerPoint, Word, Excel and other standard software tools
- Experience with basic functions in Smartsheet or willingness to learn
- Exhibit professionalism aligning with client's core values, including resolving conflicts in a constructive and professional manner and having the confidence to raise both risks and solutions.
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years recent experience with corporations (as opposed to non-profit, NGO, government, or academia)
- Experience with aviation or the travel industry
- Experience with complex, multi-phase transformations
- Experience introducing change management to an organization
