Lead with Impact as Our Plant Manager!

We’re seeking a dynamic Plant Manager to oversee and optimize our manufacturing operations at Dekko in Garrett, IN. This is your chance to make a significant impact by ensuring our plant runs efficiently, safely, and at the highest quality standards.
As a Plant Manager you will provide leadership, manufacturing expertise, Lean operating methodology, experience with automation, assembly operations, financial acumen and safety direction, to drive continuous and significant improvements in the operations. You will be expected to develop and maintain a culture where safety, quality, schedule and cost are the main focal points with a continuous improvement utilizing the DEKKO core values.
What you'll do:
- Strategic planning for annual plans to ensure that the business complies with Industry Certifications and all other legal requirements
- P&L management
- Develop and execute of a strategy that supports the overall market‐driven business strategy
- Lead regular KPI reviews for the plant team to ensure attainment of results and a sense of urgency with respect to implementation priorities
- Passionately drive a lean operating system mentality and culture in a highly structured and prescriptive way leading the development and implementation of the roadmap to achieve breakthrough operating performance (5S, SMED, TPM, etc.)
- Build, coach and mentor an outstanding team, including maintaining morale at a high level
- Ensure key operational metrics and key performance indicator systems are consistently tracking the appropriate measures and provoking appropriate responsive behavior
- Coordinate effectively with sales, marketing, design engineering, and other functional organizations
- Create project lists for continuous improvements to drive manufacturing costs down
- Organize and maintain a development program for key subordinate
- Participate as facilitator in training program
- Hold Employee Communication Meetings as required
- Conduct Customer SIOP meeting
What you'll need:
- Must have an extensive background in driving continuous improvement activities to improve operational performance including knowledge of lean management systems and lean too
- Knowledge of current technologies in manufacturing, EHS, supply chain and quality
- Strong financial and business acumen; experience leading customer-facing discussion
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skill set with demonstrated leadership of major change initiative
- Ability to manage multiple projects, build effective teams and motivate others
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of problem solving, process control tool and lean management tools (Six Sigma, 8D, Lean, Balanced Score Card, BOS or equivalent)
- Strong communication skills and comfortable facilitating groups and teaching at all levels of the organization. Capable of coaching peers and senior leaders on deployment of lean management system
- Proven career path demonstrating significant accomplishments and increasing levels of responsibilities
- Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point and/or Access) to analyze data and trends
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to balance production nee
- A strong ability to be adaptable and flexibility
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Highly motivated, results oriented, driven, with a sense of urgency when need
- Desire and ability to initiate change, innovation, and continuous improvement
Education, Certificates & or Experience
- 7+ years progressive experience in a key leadership/management role at a manufacturing facility. Experience as a Plant Manager required
- Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Engineering, or other technical/business related field highly desired. 10-15 years of plant management experience can be substituted in lieu of formal degree
