POSITION SUMMARY:
As the Global Product Manager – Sewing & Sealing, you will set the direction, vision and execution path throughout the product life cycle for the entire Sewing & Sealing portfolio. You will be responsible for driving increased revenue, profitability, and market share, including channel improvement, new product development, and technology deployment
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Product Portfolio Optimization:
- Consolidate the Global Sealing product line by analyzing market demand and rationalizing models to improve efficiency and reduce complexity.
- Simplify the Sewing product line by identifying and eliminating redundant models, ensuring a more streamlined and customer-centric offering.
2. Pricing and Profit Management:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement a global pricing strategy, considering market dynamics, competitive positioning, and cost structures.
- Identify opportunities for profit expansion through strategic pricing adjustments, value-added offerings and value engineering opportunities.
3. Market Expansion and New Product Development:
- Identify and analyze new end markets for the Sealing portfolio, conducting market research to understand customer needs and preferences.
- Collaborate with R&D and product development teams to modify existing products or introduce new solutions, driving growth and market share.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, and engineering teams to align product strategies with overall business objectives.
- Provide training and support to ensure a cohesive understanding of the product line and its positioning in the market.
5. Market Intelligence:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to make informed decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
6. Relationship Management:
- Work closely with distributors in the United States and Europe to understand market dynamics and gather feedback on product performance.
- Foster strong relationships with key partners to enhance distribution effectiveness.
- Continue to optimize channels to market, collaborating with regional commercial leadership where appropriate.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience in global product management, preferably in the packaging industry.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive product portfolio optimization and achieve profitability goals.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in identifying and entering new markets is desirable.
- Ability to travel up to 30% (international & domestic)
