The Packaging Designer plays a pivotal role in spearheading the design process for packaging and display concepts for socks and hosiery, adhering to licensed brand guidelines from initial concept to the creation of finalized, brand-approved "ready for press" files. Demonstrating creativity and ingenuity, this role involves crafting solutions that adeptly convey product attributes while staying within specified brand guidelines and cost constraints. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Packaging Designer and Packaging & Corporate Creative Services Team to conceptualize, develop, and execute design strategies spanning both print and digital platforms.
- Serve as a vital team member within the Packaging & Corporate Creative Services department, offering creative insights and recommendations to bolster various projects.
- Demonstrate exceptional time management skills to consistently deliver top-tier work within the constraints of fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Produce and finalize packaging and display mechanicals to "ready for press" (RFP) standards.
- Contribute to photo shoots when necessary, ensuring alignment with design objectives.
- Work in tandem with Packaging Developers and Packaging Production Artists to uphold design integrity throughout the packaging development process.
- Image retouching as required for packaging and display purposes.
- Foster collaboration across cross-functional teams to achieve collective goals and business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in packaging design, and POS displays
- Bachelors in related field
- Strong sense of design, typography, and color management
- Strong creativity, conceptualization, execution, organization and design skills
- Experience with licensed branding, and interpreting brand style guides for product extensions
- Expert level Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office skills required
- Experience creating “rfp” (ready for print) mechanicals
- Experience and/or knowledge of photography & photo re-touching
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to problem solve
- Experience with PLM and Product Management software a plus
- Airtable experience a plus
Annual salary range starting at $70,000
