About the Role: As the Law Office Coordinator, you’ll manage the daily operations of our office and provide crucial support to attorneys and staff. From coordinating schedules to overseeing office systems and ensuring seamless case management, you will play an essential role in our firm’s success. You will also take the lead on training new employees, organizing office events, and working closely with the firm administrator to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Support Tasks:
- Case Management: Oversee the organization of case files, ensuring documents are prepared and filed on time, and that deadlines are met.
- Document Preparation: Assist in drafting, proofreading, and transmitting legal documents like pleadings, subpoenas, and trial notebooks.
- Client and Court Communication: Schedule and coordinate client meetings, pretrial sessions, and court filings, ensuring all communications are prompt and professional.
- Trial Preparation: Help attorneys prepare for trials by organizing materials, scheduling pretrial meetings, and ensuring exhibits and outlines are ready.
Office Management Tasks:
- Daily Operations: Manage office systems, equipment, and services. Keep track of office purchases and expenses, coordinating as needed with the firm administrator.
- Staff Supervision: Train new receptionists and legal assistants, provide regular feedback to ensure performance, and run biweekly team meetings.
- Technology and Information Systems: Oversee the office's information systems, ensuring they’re up to date and functioning efficiently. Troubleshoot tech issues and coordinate external IT support when needed.
- Event Coordination: Plan and execute office events, including staff meetings, presentations, and programming schedules.
