The IT Support Specialist is a role designed to work with the System Administrator to support all areas of the business. As our client's business continues to evolve, this role is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic professional who can adapt quickly to change and think creatively to solve problems. The IT Support Specialist will support and interact with all levels of staff and will need the skills and confidence to work autonomously. This person will report to the Senior IT Manager.
IT Support Specialist Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite and remote technical support for end users and all related IT functions
- Escalate advanced support requests to the appropriate resource or IT vendors
- Troubleshoot both hardware and software issues
- Analyze common problems while developing new processes, procedures or system changes to reduce failures
- Work with third party vendors for infrastructure support, maintenance, including software release, system upgrades and patch installation
- Administer video conferencing and conference room equipment
- Perform related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Advanced experience with O365, Exchange, SharePoint and Active Directory
- Experience with cloud technologies, such as Azure
- Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, DFS, GPO and a solid understanding of networking technology and configuration (wired and wireless)
- Excellent verbal, organizational and written communication skills
- Ability to quickly and accurately prioritize incidents
- Aptitude to grasp new technology, challenge the status quo and communicate with confidence
- Ability to work well under pressure, derive unique solutions and adapt to different situations
- Attention to detail, analytical reasoning, and creative problem-solving ability
- 3+ years of technology support experience
- Experience with Microsoft Server OS, Industry certifications is a plus
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision and should be eager to take on multiple projects with excellent follow-through to drive them to completion
- High ethical and professional standards and maturity to work with sensitive and confidential information
- Team player with an eager and responsible personality
- 3+ years of prior support experience in the financial services or investment management industry is strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, technology management, MIS or related field
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
