Job Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of four technical professionals, serving as both a hands-on technical expert and mentor. Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of four technical staff, providing guidance and ensuring productivity.
- Delegate tasks effectively and monitor progress to meet client SLAs.
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Technical Expertise:
- Serve as the go-to technical expert in network infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud services, and managed IT solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues, providing Tier 3 escalation support when necessary.
- Ensure proper implementation, configuration, and optimization of IT systems and services.
- Project Management:
- Oversee and manage multiple IT projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external clients to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Client Engagement:
- Work closely with clients to understand their technical needs and develop tailored IT solutions.
- Ensure excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships, attending client meetings when necessary.
- Operational Excellence:
- Optimize operational processes, including ticketing systems, resource allocation, and incident management.
- Establish and enforce best practices, ensuring a proactive approach to problem resolution and system maintenance.
- Security and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including data security protocols and disaster recovery planning.
- Lead cybersecurity efforts, ensuring the protection of clients’ IT environments.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends to provide innovative solutions to clients.
- Propose improvements to tools, processes, and policies to enhance overall service quality.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 2 years in a technical leadership role, ideally within an MSP environment.
- Proven experience in managing teams and delivering IT projects successfully.
- Strong background in network infrastructure, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), cybersecurity, and managed IT services.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux server environments.
- Hands-on experience with networking (Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet) and virtualization technologies (VMware).
- Expertise in cybersecurity frameworks and tools (firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and services, including migration and deployment strategies.
- Leadership and Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to manage a high-performing team in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
- Certifications: (nice to have)
- Relevant technical certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+/Security+, Microsoft Azure certifications, or equivalent.
