Expectations/Incentives:
- Shift Differentials
- PRN co-workers are expected to work a minimum of thirty-six (36) hours per six-week scheduling period as outlined in Mercy's scheduling timeline
- PRN co-workers will accept these shifts during self-scheduling.
- One twelve-hour (12) shift of weekend time per schedule (Friday 3 pm to Monday 7 am)
- Holidays
- 1 summer and one winter twelve-hour (12) shift
- Incentives on shifts on shifts picked up after your 36 hours are complete within a 6 week scheduleing.
Overview:
We are a fast-paced, high-energy 19 bed, medical surgical ICU that allows for a great learning environment for new nurses to the team We have amazing teamwork to provided top quality care to our patients. We are a team of dedicated co-workers that work together to ensure patients receive the lifesaving care they need. We are a medical surgical ICU that sees a wide variety of patients and diagnosis. This diverse nature provides a lot of educational moments for coworkers.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Other unit specific certifications as required or or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.
