Role Summary:
Under the general supervision of the CFO and in compliance with Company policies and procedures, the candidate will be responsible for managing the planning, design, implementation, and operation of the Company’s network and I.T. operations functions in support of the Company office locations. The ideal candidate must be skilled in SharePoint and Microsoft 365, and have experience using and troubleshooting MacBooks and related software and hardware.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements critical processes related to crisis management, system operations, support, and administration activities.
- Assists in analyzing business needs to determine the development of new or modified I.T. systems.
- Explores new technologies for future planning and potential implementation. Stays current with developments in software, hardware, and services provided by ISPs; recommends upgrades and alternatives to meet Company and client requirements.
- Performs server, network maintenance, and upgrades.
- Provides technical support, troubleshooting for Company-issued equipment (e.g., Lenovo and Mac laptops, iPhones, iPads), hardware/software, and network infrastructure issues.
- Ensures security of the I.T. infrastructure and improves its capacity and stability.
- Partners with internal departments to deliver new capabilities and services in support of the business.
- Negotiates and manages vendor contracts. Creates and enforces corporate I.T. infrastructure and desktop standards.
- Acts as a steward of the JConnelly brand, reflecting the Company’s core values, approach, and high standards of excellence.
- Must be about to work from our New York office AND New Jersey office.
- Must be available to work outside of normal business hours as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in a computer-related discipline, or equivalent business experience.
Experience and Expertise:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing corporate I.T. functions.
- Expert knowledge of data networks, client-server systems, desktop computers, Internet protocols, network management, information/network security, SQL, firewalls, routers, email, virus protection, data storage/retrieval, and network printing.
- Proficiency with Exchange servers, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365.
- Experience in using and troubleshooting MacBooks and Mac-related software and hardware.
- Strong problem-solving, strategic analysis, project management, cost analysis, and budgeting skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently with little direction.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
