Our client, a leading global law firm, is seeking a Systems Engineer to join the technology team. This role focuses on improving the stability and performance of IT desktop and software applications. Reporting to the Associate Director of Technology Operations, the Systems Engineer will collaborate with technology infrastructure, application engineers, and information security teams to resolve issues and enhance system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design, monitoring, upgrades, and maintenance of Citrix/Desktop systems.
- Manage Citrix/Desktops, including image maintenance and updates.
- Handle incident tickets, troubleshooting, and resolution.
- Document hardware/software configurations and deployment solutions.
- Perform timely system upgrades and support applications, hardware, OS, and network infrastructure.
- Provide architectural and operational recommendations.
- Collaborate with IS teams to optimize performance and security.
Qualifications:
- Expertise in Citrix virtual desktops, VMware, and Windows OS.
- 10+ years of experience in virtual desktop and systems engineering, preferably in legal or professional services.
- Detail-oriented, able to manage heavy workloads efficiently.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and team-oriented.
Nice to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience with cloud services (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, Citrix Cloud).
