Our client, a highly successful and rapidly expanding NC-based firm that provides outsourced project management services to pharmaceutical companies worldwide, is actively recruiting an exceedingly sharp and competent candidate to join its Client Account Services team.
This firm works with some of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world to lead high-impact Greenfield and Brownfield capital projects. Consultants are embedded in the client companies and project-manage these buildouts.
This Project Lead role will involve working on a Greenfield project with an RTP, NC area client that is building out a $3 billion pharma manufacturing facility. It is a complex operation with a lot of moving parts. We seek an exceptionally strong project management professional, ideally with pharma manufacturing and/or construction experience. It is an enormous opportunity for both challenge and growth.
Key Things to Note:
- This is a hands-on role. This Project Lead will oversee the SMEs and the project team, reviewing the work and checking their progress. We seek a hands-on doer.
- Project Lead will work with client personnel to develop objectives and specifications that the Project Teams will execute. Responsibilities may include:
- -----Driving the development of project schedules and plans
- -----Communicating timelines, deliverables, budgets, etc. to all stakeholders
- -----Serving as liaison to 3rd party vendors, including design and construction teams
- -----Contributing to cost estimates and vendor selection
- -----Tracking and controlling project costs
- -----Preparing and distributing project status reports
- -----Coordinating plant shutdowns or service interruptions
- This is a high-demand, high-profile role. This Project Lead will develop and implement strategies, manage the projects, and act as primary liaison with the client. Seek candidates with outstanding analytical skills, superb organizational skills, and savvy client service skills.
- This role will require outstanding documentation skills. Every step of the process must be meticulously documented in a timely, thorough, and compliant manner. Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project (or similar) is expected.
- This is a highly collaborative role. As the driver of these projects, this Project Lead will regularly interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the project are properly understood and executed. We seek a superb communicator.
- This position is located in Holly Springs, NC. We seek candidates who are interested in being on-site where the action is.
Targeted candidate will offer a related bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture) and 3+ years of experience in construction, civil engineering, or pharmaceutical manufacturing/operations. Project management experience assumed and important.
Experience with clean utilities (high-purity water, purified compressed air, and sterile steam) in new construction would be helpful.
