Thank you for stopping by to take a look at the Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O role I posted here on LinkedIN, I appreciate it.
If you have read my JD's in the past, you know that I like to add some humor to these things. If you are new to my job descriptions, welcome! Just a couple notes...I am a real person writing this while watching some College Football highlights...in other words, no bots...no AI, just a real person. The reason I mention this is that I pay close attention to two aspects of any role I work on. Those two aspects being a social fit and a technical fit.
So, lets start off with that social fit. Here are some of the characteristics that create a good social fit for this role:
- This is a relatively small environment (roughly 75-80 users) with a relatively small IT team (9 people across the US and UK). So, that ability to function well in a small environment will be essential to success.
- I know the hiring manager for this role quite well. She is not a micro-manager...so, that means you will need to put your big boy or big girl pants on and get done with what you need to get done (in other words, you don't need to be micro managed).
This role is being done in a Contract to Hire mode
I can only work with US Citizens or Green Card Holder. I cannot work with OPT, EAD, H1, F1 Visa Holders. Again, I can ONLY work with US Citizens or Green Card Holders.
If you are an external vendor and just emptying your bench in applicants to this role, please stop...I am not working with external vendors for this unless you are an independent contractor representing yourself as a contractor for this role. I am not working with external vendors looking to empty their bench.
This role CAN be done remotely. However, ideally, we are seeking individuals that can travel to Chicago for a couple weeks when this project begins and then from time to time as it progresses. I am looking for a candidate that will act like an adult (this may sound strange, but it goes to that micro-management point). An adult can figure out for themselves in terms of when it will be of the highest value to come onsite.
This is a contract role that will last 6-12 months and then convert to perm. Once converted to perm, you will have the full slate of benefits (life, dental, health, PTO, etc)
Here is what we are seeking in this role:
This client has already implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365. We are seeking that D365 F&O expert that can serve as a Subject Matter Expert to lead production support and incremental enhancement projects. You will be working on troubleshooting issues in that F&O module within D365...this will be a significant portion of your work here. In those first 30 days, you will be learning this clients configuration and be able to answer trouble tickets on their own. By about 60 days into this role, yo uwill be taking care of more advanced tickets and by day 90, you will be a great contributor to other challenges that the business is having. This leads to something rather interesting. If you have tag teamed your experience with some classic Business Analyst skills, that would be great to see. As most people who have been in the D365 (or the ERP space in general) know...a significant amount of your success depends on looking at situations from the perspective of 'what problem are we trying to solve...and then work backward from there'.
The key operational areas support by D365 are: Fulfillment, Procurement, Customer Service and Accounting. This company values structured methodology, specifically: documenting requirements and conducting structured user testing before deploying changes to production.
Here is what we are seeking in this role:
- At least 3 years of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O experience. This experience will also need to be recent (in other words, if it is 4-5 years ago, that will not work unfortunately).
- If you have been a D365 Team Lead, or have been a support lead for D365, that would be ideal for a role like this.
- If you have D365 F&O Development experience, that would be good to see. However, just remember that this is primarily a support role and not a development role.
- Any process improvement experience within Dynamics 365 would be great to see.
- Any experience with Integration/middleware would be great to see (Jitterbit a HUGE plus, Webmin a HUGE plus).
- Any experience with, Sql, PowerBI, BigCommerce and SalesForce would be great to see.
