JOB SUMMARY
The Project Manager position is essential to be on premises to see print output. The projects managed are generally small in size, but large in quantity and prioritization is key. The project manager will work with different skill levels of designers and should have an understanding of good design principles. This role works closely with the Sales and Operations teams to make sure private label designs and orders and handled efficiently and timely.
RESPONSIBILITIE
- Provide leadership and technical support to maximize through-put and efficiencies
- Daily meetings with Sales and design Leads to ensure priority alignment
- Directly review all line extension tasks and sign off on all physical master file
- Reviews and addresses all reprints and reassigns after investigation
- Manages proof workflow including physical shipments
- Schedules direct time with Sales reps to discuss projects as needed
- Monitor reports for staff productivity and project tracking
- Coordinate with creative design for production support for key accounts including the house brand
- Lead, train and monitor all department staff using procedures, policies and reinforcement
- Develop and keep current library of department procedures and processes
- Liaison between various internal departments, promoting for open communication and synergy
- Ensure a consistent, look and feel that adheres to company or client brand, for all line extensions
- Benchmark best practices to develop and implement business processes and procedures which will increase productivity and enhance coordination of projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong organization with demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines in a fast paced, print production environment
- Self-motivated with strong ability to lead and work effectively as part of a tea,
- Must keep current of developments in graphic design field
- Must have solid understanding of design, typography, color, composition and art direction
- Effective communication/comprehension skills – verbal and written
- Ability to learn new skills and related tasks, dependable and punctual
- Hard working, with the ability to function independently and as part of a team
- Previous print industry experience a plus
- Must have strong management, planning and leadership skills
- Proven track record of leading a design team
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, identify and address problems and meet deadlines
- Team motivator with ability to work in fast paced production environment
REQUIED
- Degree in graphic design or related field or equivalent project management work experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience in management
- Experience working in a creative agency or in-house creative environment a plus
- Pharmaceutical production design experience a p
- Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications including: Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. Must be able to demonstrate ability
