We currently have 3 openings for Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to join our expanding onsite project team in New Haven, CT! As a part of this role, you will be providing engineering oversight and support while collaborating with top-tier professionals on a major capital program for a global leader in scientific research. The Engineer’s responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Provide oversight and/or support of mechanical/electrical, plumbing, fire protection engineering reviews.
- Ensure the Basis of Design is complete and comprehensive.
- Engage with the individual project teams to ensure system selection and designs meet standards and are aligned with operational goals and capacity.
- Participate in the selection of engineering firms for projects.
- Provides feedback at each design checkpoint and for relevant submissions.
- Perform commissioning and project turnover support tasks as required.
- Compile significant lessons learned to inform development of design standards and operational protocols.
Desired experience:
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience as a design electrical or mechanical engineer
- Experience with laboratory design or equivalent technical complexity.
- Must be certified Engineer-in-Training (EIT), LEED AP accredited professional OR Professional Engineer (PE)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capacity to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or related field.
- Ability to successfully pass a thorough criminal background check
