Title: Senior Project Manager - PMO
Location: Miami, FL ( Hybrid )
Duration: 2.5 years
Role Overview
The Project Manager will lead and manage all aspects of the project lifecycle using traditional project management methodologies. The role includes maintaining the project playbook, adhering to PMO governance standards, managing finances, and participating in governance meetings. The Project Manager may also take on the role of Program Manager as projects evolve and become programs.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Allocate resources and assign tasks to project team members.
Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet objectives.
Ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
Stakeholder Management
Engage with key stakeholders to understand their requirements and expectations.
Communicate project status, risks, and issues regularly to stakeholders.
Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
PMP certification required or similar.
Experience
7+ years of experience in project management, specifically in traditional (waterfall) methodologies.
Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex projects.
Experience in the technology sector or related industries is preferred.
Experience in program management or managing multiple projects simultaneously is a plus.
Skills
Strong project planning and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Excel).
Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
