The authentically African-themed resort is home to America’s largest indoor waterparks and features well-appointed guest rooms, full-service Spa Kalahari, a fun-filled family entertainment center, on-site signature restaurants, unique retail shops and a state-of-the-art convention center.
As a company, we execute small and large local, regional, state, and national events at a high level. This department is responsible for up to 40% of related resort revenue.
We are inviting you to apply for the open Director of Banquets position. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the setup, audio-visual staff, and banquet execution teams for the convention center. You’ll refresh our standards, train, and hold staff accountable through collaboration with the Corporate and property Directors of Food & Beverage, others in your position at our resorts, and our catering team(s). You will be responsible for development and operation of the budget, comply with health, safety, and sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards. You would report to the property Director of Food & Beverage.
We require that you have a background consisting of at least five years of banquet leadership experience. We require that you have managed a convention center or large hotel with over 500 rooms and with over 80,000 sq. ft. of meeting space.
