We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Machine Builder to join our dynamic team. This role involves assembling a wide variety of complex machines that require precise dimensions and adherence to strict inspection criteria. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose issues and the skills required to efficiently communicate those issues to ensure optimal performance of machines. This position also requires the ability to perform service and installations at customer sites, with up to 20% travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow detailed station assembly prints and positions, align and fasten units to the assemblies/subassemblies/frames using hand and/or power tools.
- Set switches and pneumatic flow controls, per station specifications.
- Position, align, and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly.
- Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements are met.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.Additional college coursework related to design and basic mechanical principles preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of highly skilled experience in mechanical assembly required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Proven experience working effectively in a team environment.
- Mathematical skills that include the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and make metric system conversions required.
- Capability to read and understand blueprints, specification manuals, assembly plans, and other manufacturing instructions required.
Must hold a valid driver’s license and appropriate level of automobile insurance coverage compliant with local and State laws.
This is an on-site position in our new, state-of-the-art facility, located in Trevor, Wisconsin, which is in Kenosha County and near the Illinois border.
