A privately held investment management firm is seeking a Data Analyst/Reporting Specialist to join their team. This company is very well established and has seen tremendous growth over recent years. This new position is open due to the growth and evolution of the department which will allow this individual to truly take ownership and directly see the impact of their technical contributions that will be vital for company growth at an international level. This person will become a member of the investment operations team and will have the potential to progress into higher-level analyst OR leadership roles over time.
The work/life balance is highly desirable; flex hours and unlimited PTO. This will be an on-site position in a beautiful office and in a great location right outside of Downtown Denver.
Qualified candidates must have 2-5 years of Data Analytics experience working closely with business stakeholders in defining and creating reports that will be used to influence decision making.
As a member of a small data team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that touch many different aspects of the business systems from developing forecasts to improving the usability and integrity of operational data and analyzing historical data.

General Responsibilities:
- Working closely with analysts and portfolio managers to organize and manage data relating to the investment process, bond analysis, and issuer evaluation
- Manage database and monthly reporting processes
- Partner with operations and data team to ensure the best and most efficient access to information
- Meticulously, and efficiently, follow existing processes in the preparation, construction, and validation of reporting across all business units.
- Look for and reconcile discrepancies in reports and data sources and research issues with relevant parties.
- Review and help maintain the firm’s security, transaction, and client master databases.
- Willingness to learn new skills, financial products, and add fresh perspective to existing processes
General Qualifications:
- 2-5+ years of experience within data management in a highly technical and analytical role
- Ability to drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigation.
- Track trends of historical data and forecasting futures
- Develop innovative solutions to complex business and technology problems.
- Advanced scripting knowledge (SQL, Python, ETC –ability to write complex, efficient, and highly readable queries)
- Previous industry experience working in investments, finance or structured credit is highly desired but not required
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant concentration is strongly preferred but not required
